YourFarmer: an online meat shop built on farm-to-family trust

Christopher Henry, Co-founder, NOIZE2 min readUpdated
The YourFarmer website homepage, headed Farm-fresh beef, straight to your kitchen.

YourFarmer set out to change how families buy meat. It removes the middlemen and connects farmers directly with the people they feed.

The website had to show that trust, openness and care for the land, and still be quick and easy to shop.

The short version

NOIZE designed a website for YourFarmer that combines the farm story with simple online shopping. Every product shows where it comes from, a Meet the Farmers section introduces the people behind it, and subscriptions make regular deliveries easy. Clear menus and a quick checkout remove friction, so busy families can buy in a few minutes.

The challenge

Most meat reaches the table through a long, anonymous supply chain. YourFarmer's whole idea is the opposite: you know where your food comes from and who raised it.

The website had to make that difference obvious, and it had to work as a shop. A beautiful story is no use if checkout is hard.

Our approach

01Tell the farm-to-family story

The site follows the meat from the farm to the table. Knowing who grew your food builds trust a discount can't buy.

02Make shopping easy

Clear menus, a simple product range and a quick checkout let busy families shop with ease. We removed friction wherever we found it.

03Talk about sustainability honestly

YourFarmer's farming practices are a real reason to buy. We gave them a prominent place, told plainly and backed by the farmers' own stories.

What we built

  • Product listings that show where each item comes from
  • A Meet the Farmers section with personal stories and photos
  • Subscriptions for regular deliveries
  • Recipes, cooking tips and storage guides

The takeaway

When supply chains are anonymous, openness stands out. Show customers where a product comes from and who made it, and you build loyalty that lasts longer than any price war. We took a similar approach with the Mudgee Meat brand.
